Open Community Days

Once a month we host an Open Community Day at The CDT Hub, with circle time, shared picnic, and hands-on workshops around permaculture, homeschooling, or other topics. These community days are open to all members.

Community Event Calendar

Our shared calendar brings together homeschool-friendly opportunities from across Madeira—workshops, museum days, nature excursions, cultural events, and group activities. Members can discover what’s happening, coordinate with other families, and never miss an opportunity to explore and learn together.

Exclusive Partner Discounts

Through our growing network of island partners, member families enjoy exclusive discounts on educational experiences, outdoor activities, and cultural programmes across Madeira — making enriching opportunities more accessible for your family.

Quarterly Newsletter

Our quarterly newsletter keeps you connected with the heart of Campus da Terra. Alongside updates on upcoming events, community highlights, partner offerings, and exclusive opportunities, each edition also features a dedicated homeschooling topic or talk—offering practical insights, inspiration, and support for families on their learning journey.

Add-On Educational Offers

Our add-on educational offers are available exclusively to our members.

On weekdays we run co-created homeschooling programmes from 10am to 4pm for member children aged 5 to 12 (limited spots).

Participating families organise:

  • Parent supervision rotation
  • Programming and activities
  • Excursions and Workshops
  • Carpooling logistics

We are establishing this program across the island in different learning groups on the east-side, south-side, west-side and north-side. Learning happens at shared hubs, community centers, as well as private and public spaces like libraries, museums, beaches, parks, etc.

Each month, families plan together—sharing supervision, ideas, and resources to create enriching days focused on exploration, free play, and hands-on learning. There’s a budget for expenses, an organisational platform, and our partner network
to draw from.

Our first running program is the east-side learning group, happening across the region from Gaula to Porto da Cruz, with Machico as the central hub.

Monday and Friday

Forest School Programme
Designed for children aged 5–10 years (limited spots), the programme runs weekly on Mondays and Fridays and offers a calm, nature-based environment where children can explore freely, lead their own play, and reconnect with nature at their own rhythm. Learning is supported through self-directed play, attentive adult observation, and educational documentation shared with families.
