Welcome to
Campus da Terra
Campus da Terra is a project of the non-profit association Aprendizes da Terra, bringing together local and international homeschooling families.
We gather regularly for:
- Co-homeschooling and focused learning time
- Permaculture and hands-on projects
- Workshops, excursions, and shared meals
- Outdoor exploration across the island
Families co-create the experiences, and children learn through real life, meaningful work, and connection with others.

How it works
Membership
Campus da Terra is built around membership in our association. Members actively participate in the community, help shape activities, and support one another.
Weekly Rhythm
We have regular open community days at The CDT Hub, with lunches, play and hands-on workshops. For an additional fee, children can join our co-created homeschooling programs.
Island-Wide Learning
Learning doesn’t happen in one place. We use The CDT Hub, farms, forests, libraries, beaches, museums, and partner spaces across Madeira.
Who We’re Here For
Campus da Terra is for homeschooling families living in Madeira. Whether you’re rooted on the island or split your time between here and elsewhere.
We welcome:
- Local and international families
- Families seeking flexibility and community
- Children with different needs and learning styles
As a parent-led community, we are not a drop-off programme. Children are supported by the adults who know them best, within a co-created structure.

- Connections that extend learning beyond the Hub
Together, we’re building a living network of families and learning spaces
