The Community
Our most valuable asset is our community of like-minded homeschooling families supporting each other, meeting regularly, giving advice, and sharing this journey together. Many friendships have already grown through Campus da Terra, and we look forward to creating many more connections in the years to come.
Members stay connected through our WhatsApp group, where we share updates about current classes, upcoming events, homeschooling resources, and interesting opportunities around the island. It is also a space where parents can ask questions, exchange ideas, and offer support to one another.
Throughout the year, our community gathers for regular activities such as open community days, workshops, excursions, and shared meals. Families often organise additional meetups, playdates, learning groups, or outdoor adventures together.
We are building a supportive network of families who believe in child-led learning, strong community ties, and a meaningful connection to nature.

Our Partner Network

GroVerdi is an organic farm in Gaula and provides a dedicated piece of land for Campus da Terra, where children can actively engage in hands-on farm work and animal care. This partnership enriches our students’ education by offering practical agricultural experiences that foster a deeper connection to nature and promote sustainable practices.
GroVerdi’s strong commitment to sustainability aligns seamlessly with our educational values, creating a unique opportunity for students to learn and grow in an eco-friendly environment.

Our partnership with Movimento Educação Livre (MEL) brings valuable legal support to our community. As an organization devoted to educational freedom, MEL provides comprehensive legal assistance to our parents, ensuring that our practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Their expertise in education law helps us create a secure and legally sound environment for our students. This collaboration underscores our commitment to offering a well-rounded and legally protected learning experience for all children at Campus da Terra.

Amparo – Nomad Cultural Experience Association is a community initiative based in Machico, Madeira, offering events, workshops, collaborations, and a shared workspace for locals and remote professionals. It grew out of a project to attract digital nomads while creating positive impact for the local community, supported by local authorities and donations. The initiative provides a free workspace and gathering place where international and local participants can connect, collaborate, and take part in community activities such as volunteering and cultural events.
